Dialogues of the Carmelites

Set design, costume design and publicity design for Poulenc's opera 'Dialogues of the Carmelites'. The set had to be portable, as both the stage and the set had to be dismantled and packed flat after every perfrmance. The solution was a rotating/opening screen that the cast moved during the performance to represent different settings. The windows reference Corbusier's Ronchamp chapel, a building contemporary to Poulenc's opera.
