Play: JunkPark
The Hothouse community arts centre is sandwiched between railway tracks and London Fields park, East London. The proposed allotment scheme and playground would stitch the fragmented urban fabric back together, linking the community space with the park through a strange landscape made from ‘junk’ and unexpected strips of urban garden.
Made from found materials, children’s toys and felt, the site model functions as an interactive toy: the pieces click onto the landscape in any configuration and the landscape can be recontoured as you play.
